1. Also a metro station closeby with a single stop to universal (NB if you get this - which is worth it as it is easy and saves paying for parking - there is a free shuttle to universal to take you up the hill from the metro stop but good luck finding it as the signage is terrible - tip = head to the bottom of the hill near the Sheraton).

2. The reason the shuttle took so long?>>> The shuttle takes anyone, not just the BEST WESTERN patrons, ANY/EVERWHERE.

3. ( I had notified the desk several times that I would be a late arrival) The fee for the shuttle was only 16.00, (not bad) but IF THE DESK CLERK HAD TOLD US THAT RESERVATIONS WERE NEEDED and could be done at supershuttle.

5. Now, I phoned 3 times to find out about their 'nominal fee' shuttle to transport us from LAX to the hotel.

6. Soooo, the day before I was to fly, I called the third time, as instructed, to get the number of the shuttle, only to be TOLD THAT I am to use the 'courtesy phones' by baggage claim, and the shuttle will come.

8. So the next day I telephoned the front desk, to call them and this desk clerk said to call them at the desk and they would give us the phone number to CALL THE SHUTTLE BUS.

9. positive aspects- directly on Highland Ave, only 5-10 min walk to Hollywood Blvd, very convenient if you like to go to Madame Tussauds, Walk of Fame, Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood Museum, Chinese Theatre and many souvenir shops- free parking, many parking spots- close to metro station Hollywood/Highland, close to Universal Studios and Hollywood bowl- rooms are clean, big, beds are comfortable - because of noise in the room service personell offered to switch rooms for free (we were offered a room with jacuzzi)- because of the trouble we were offered a private shuttle to the airport for a special price; when the car came it was a black strech limousine - awesome!negative aspects- DO NOT stay in room 343, the water heater is above it and is extremely loud at night- shuttle to airport is $15 per Person- breakfast is not included in hotel room .
