4. That said, we were very pleased for the rate we paid -- I would recommend taking advantage of the shuttle (runs to 10:30 pm) to get downtown to casinos, restaurants, Ren Cen, Cobo Hall etc. Finding a cab back was not difficult at the casinos and Cobo.

8. For the rack rate and if you truly want 4 star accommodations then book The Westin Book Cadillac, which I hear has been beautifully renovated.
