1. We waited for an hour, without word from the staff, watching everyone from the valet guy to the guy delivering newspapers just hanging around the lobby, yucking it up, having fun, USING THE ELEVATORS.

5. (The hotel was originally an apartment building, so the lobby, along with restaurant and bar, are on the 5th floor, which means that the elevators are occupied shuttling people to 5 in the mornings and evenings.
