1. If you are footing the bill, definitely stay somewhere else more friendly to casual travelers.

Examples: being yelled at by bell staff for not getting into a cab fast enough; being ignored by bell staff; taking a long time to retrieve checked bags; lost reservations at check-in; being ignored at the bar, being ignored at the restaurant; fitness center machines that don't work; marginal executive lounge food; messy executive lounge; frequent incorrect billing; rates changed without notice.

3. There were some minor problems about the availability of our room when we checked in and later with our dry cleaning bill.

4. These are now fairly prevalent in most hotels but be aware that picking up a snack or drink and relocating it will automatically add the charge to your bill, regardless of whether you didn't consume it and put it back in place.

6. Be careful with the refreshment candy stand as it is weighted and if something moves, you are billed automatically.

7. There are both a mini-fridge and a selection of drinks/snacks connected to an electronic monitoring device; apparently if you disturb them you will be billed.
