2. For being in quite a busy area in view of Times square we found it very quiet no traffic noise.

3. Turn right outside the Edison and you are on Times sq, but if you turn left and keep walking you get to the Pier and they have a NYC yellow water cab and you can hop on and off all day for $24 and you get a great view of the Statue of Liberty on the way back.

4. Some reviews commented on the lack of decent views from their window, and I agree, although we were able to see some of the billboards in Times Square, however as a base to sightsee around New York, this brought my review for the Edison Hotel up to 3 stars or average.

7. In the deli they also sell a hot serve yourself deli, we filled up a couple of trays and sat on the viewing steps on Times Square and just sat and watched the world go by, amazing.

Apart from the hotel, we had a really super time in this gorgeous, exciting city, and enjoyed the sightseeing, wonderful helicopter flight with liberty helicopters, a fun Southern soul food dinner with yummy draught beer at 'Delta', with super friendly staff and good music, which is in walking distance on 9th, good steak and wine at Capital Grille (also easily walkable), fantastic Christmas decorations everywhere, super views from the Rockefeller Center, amazing architecture, and the not-to-be-missed Grand Central Station.

9. We had a junior suite which was ample for 3 and the Times Sq view was perfect especially to watch the parade go by on Thursday morning .
