4. It was easy to catch a $2 tram ride outside the door to take you to North Beach, but there are loads of great shops nearby, as well as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art 5 mins away.

7. While some may call this hotel well located--walking distance to the Moscone Center, Chinatown, North Beach, and public transportation--it is also an area swarming with aggressive panhandlers and people who's behavior is not only bizarre but bizarre at high volumes.
