2. Just stayed one night at Public - beautiful lobby and restaurant/cafe - but that is where the 'wow' moment stops - tiny room - tiny tiny bathroom - with old fixtures painted over and carpeting that is not soft to the feet.

5. The rooms as well are quiet and well maintained, and are in an area near the action, without suffering from a lot of street noise, etc. The lobby is a great place to be seen and the restaurant in the lobby, was very busy every night, though i didnt have a chance myself to go.

8. The lobby areas were absolutely gorgeous (it is an Ian Schrager hotel :) ) There is almost no need to venture out at night, as it seems as though the Pump Room and the Library Bar are certainly places to see and be seen.

9. The Pump Room and lobby area, where there was a roaring fire, made the experience very nice, indeed, until we hit the weekend, when those areas filled up with so many outside people that it didn't feel possible to fully enjoy those facilities.
