1. At our request, we were upgraded to a wonderful 1 bedroom suite with a view of downtown for a reasonable additional charge.

2. Even though our rate was so cheap, the service was wonderful, the front desk were polite& cheerful, the doormen and valet were great and helpful, and they even put a fridge in our room when we requested on, free of charge.

In terms of service, the front desk doesn't allow guests to borrow umbrellas (in a town where it rains for like 5 months nonstop), it took them 20 minutes to check us out and fix a charge on our invoice (and it wasn't fixed so now I have to call them when I get home), and no one was particularly welcoming our 3 day stay there.
