1. The subway was very easily accesible and we used it often, we ate breakfast at the diner on the next block which was good value for money and all part of the experience of New York.

6. On our last day, the doorman offered to have a driver take us to the airport, which wasn`t free, but it did save us a good amount of money versus taking a cab or shuttle.

7. A tip that`s worth mentioning is that its probably better money wise to book tickets for shows/sports events direct with the theatre/stadium rather than through the concierge in reception as we found them to be rather pricey.

8. This costs about $17 but is worth the money and, by all accounts, better than the Empire State Building which, incidentally, you can see very clearly.

10. Also every a.m. you can have breakfast on the 21st floor - which is buffet style - personally I didn`t think it was worth the money, you better off going to a american dinner which you will get a lot more for your money.
