2. Other than the person who turned me away when I tried to do an early check-in and the the person who offered no apologies when I called about the blood stain on my comforter, all of the other front desk people were pleasant to deal with.

7. I'm a native New Yorker (and staying here only because I'm too lazy to deal with weekend train schedules to attend a work conference that started at 7 AM) and can confidently say that its location is fantastic for a tourist.

10. I think there are better places to stay in NYC, but I would stay at a Sofitel hotel again and I would stay at this Sofitel again, but only if I got a great deal.
