1. We spent a good amount of time riding buses to get to Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.

My mom has said she will probably not return to Disneyworld until all of the parks are put on the Monorail system because taking a bus to Downtown Disney or Hollywood Studios from the Polynesian took 45 minutes ONE WAY, eating a big chunk from you day and, with small kids, prolonging the time until naps can begin back at the hotel.

7. As I mentioned, our room was close to the resort's bus stop, where you can catch a bus to animal kingdom, Disney studios and downtown Disney, which takes about 20 minutes or so depending on the traffic.
