We also appreciated the beach club which was really a surprise as the hotel was advertised as 'hotel and spa'- whereas I was a little disappointed that there was no real spa on the property, the beach club made up for it- it was a pleasure not having to pay for the chaises and cushions(but there was a small fee for the umbrella).

2. Tyrell was so sweet to offer us an upgrade at a nominal fee in the Dorset building where the rooms were larger than the other buildings-This hotel is actually 3 different buildings right next to each other- it really made our day.

5. they also require a 100 dollar deposit and a 15$ resort fee for the pool areas which are absolute garbage, im a pretty liberal and laid back person, but for the price you could stay at a 5 star.

6. The staff is very poorly trained and disorganized (I had to ask 4 people until I finally got an answer if they charge a connection fee when dialing a 800 number).

7. For a one-time 50$ fee (irrespective of duration of stay, I think), you can upgrade yourself to either the Maxine or Dorset.

9. Had to call from my cell phone to request early check-out to which I was told they would call me at 8am to tell me if that was even possible, in addition to the fee they charged.

10. Add to that when you arrive they hit you with a mandatory $15 per day Resort Fee, which as far as we could tell, lets you use the swimming pool.
