1. I requested to be moved but they said the hotel was sold out and could not accomodate my request, however, the manager did speak to the party responsible for all the noise.

2. So the manager worked with the guest list, (they had two large weddings booked for the week end), and booked us a nice room on the 4th floor.

I she would not have shown up for her reservation they said they would have charged my card (with out a faxed copy), but they would not give her the room with me on the phone etc. They were not helpful with any suggestionsand the manager who had the power to overide some policies did nothing to offer help.

6. I'll give the managers an A+ for the way they handled our complaints but the owners of the hotel need to remodel some of the rooms especially rooms 304 and 306.

9. Hard to find as the monument sign was not lit up, soft upgrades to lobby do not hide worn brass and dated tiles, slow service at desk, small tired room (with nice beds), tv did not work, they missed my wake-up call (luckily I was woken up at 8.30 by them blasting music at the pool), no pen in room (need to write message to manager), key to access concierge floor (as a VIP HHonor member) did not work, breakfast worse than Hampton Inn (I expect a poor breakfast at a HI, not a doubletree).
"Tired old hotel with spotty service and poor product " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/25/2009 Vote
