1. This hotel is convenient to the airport, and there's a big mall across the highway, which can be crossed over a bridge on foot if you're willing to brave the horrible traffic.

The Doubletree San Antonio Airport Hotel is a nice hotel with an excellent location especially if your trip main purpose is shopping since it's located close to the most important highways to reach both SA most fancy mall (La Cantera), the traditional ones (Northstar Mall), or if you want to head toward San Marcos you have the road right in your doorstep.

7. The maid service was also excellent & the free shuttle service which is on demand to the airport was a godsend cause Highway 410 which is adjacent to the hotel was being renovated and yes I would stay at Doubletree again.

8. - Tiny bathrooms, poor plumbing- Slow front desk / check-in- Room requests not honored (I fully realize this is not always possible, but this is the first time I remember this being the case)- Many rooms close to highway, lots of highway noise since the doors exterior / balcony doors don't close very well.
