7. Another great feature to this property, is that the pool is never crowded, and they have complimentary cabanas on a first come first served basis.

Needless to say this wasn't the best way to start a vacation, yet the staff at Hotel Wailea (Meegan, Emily and others) were very accommodating upon check-in adjusting our reservation, allowing us to check-in early AND greeting us with a complimentary meal and drinks (service recovery for something that had nothing to do with their hotel is certainly a step above).

10. If you are a family, inquire with the bell staff as they provided us during our stay complimentary boogie-boards, umbrella and beach buckets for our kids (leftover from prior guests) -- well worth the tip and saves a trip to the ABC store.
