If you like to cook for yourself every once in awhile and even be able to some laundry (some units have their own washer and dryer) stay at Kiahuna but do your research on the room as each one is decorated by the owner and can be very different =) have fun on your trip to Kauai, it's beautiful there.

4. We didn't use any of the other facilities (pool, workout centre, restaurant or the do-it-yourself laundry facility) so I cannot comment on how good they are.

6. There's no wi-fi (2 pc's with printer hook-ups at ~$0.20/min), room ceiling fans and no central air ( I never felt too hot) central laundry facility ($5 w/d), in-house restaurant (I didn't eat here) and pool / tennis court access (I never went).

There is a very usable beach area (nice and quiet in the morning for Tai Chi, yoga or meditation), an elevated grassy area right next to the beach, multiple common area gas grills, a do-it-yourself coin-op laundry facility on-site, and a very friendly staff willing to help out with just about anything you need.
