1. If you are a foodie and like local markets check out KCC on Saturday mornings which is a 15 minute drive from the hotel--not cheap for starters but there a lots of local things you can grab to eat on the go and its open 0730 to 1100.

3. Lots of really great adventure tours, but check out Tours4Less which offers some awesome tours for a reduced price (and it's a block around the corner from the Marriott).

4. My wife and I decided to eat breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel and we then took a walk down Kalakaua Avenue to check out the stores and other hotels.

5. Checking out: On Sunday, we called the front desk and asked for a later check out and we was granted a 1:00 check out.

6. Our flight home left in the evening so we were able to get a later check out time as well as access to the hospitality room so we could freshen up before heading out to the airport.

7. When it came time to check out of the hotel, a gentleman at the front desk told me that I couldn't pay for the hotel room with the Marriott Rewards credit card I reserved the room with because the card was not in my name.

9. It has a Hospitality room you can watch football on a large big screen TV till your room is ready, or check out leave your luggage in storage and go to the beach, or pool & use hospitality room to shower and crash on the sofa till you are ready to go to the airport.

10. A nice plus is they offer a 'linger longer' booking where you can check out in the pm (if you have to catch an evening flight) - this wasn't too expensive and was very convenient.
