1. Homeless people on sidewalk thru out Hawaii but not marriotts fault , we upgraded rm to ocean view no charge and restaurants were wonderful too.

6. A bigger deal for us is that they had a fitness center and actually didn't charge one of those ridiculous resort fees (many finer hotels in Waikiki charge this) to use it.

7. They were generous enough to let us keep our car parked there into the evening at no extra charge (It was $24/day), however, and that was a big help since parking is a premium in Waikiki.

8. Front desk agent did not properly capture my credit card which caused a bit of an embarrassing situation when I tried to charge a drink to my room at the pool bar - required another trip to front desk to re-swipe card.

I looked at the room service menu they had a small ribeye for $38 with a $3 something delivery charge and a 20% service charge plus 10% tax and 15% tip!that steak could end up costing an extra $18/$20 - I stayed a Marriott in Singapore the day before and ordered room service and the fees were MUCH less.

10. One more thing - beware if you rent a car, they charge $30 a night to park at the hotel.
