1. Our room wasn't ready but after a short 'discussion' we were upgraded to a suite free of charge.

We stayed 1 night before a cruise--had lunch at the Tiki Bar--the special of the day was fish & chips--we all received raw fish--could not get the attention of any of the staff--had to pick up the plates and take them to the bar ourselves for attention --they did re-cook the fish for us--Our room was out-dated with a murphy bed--we were on a floor that was 3/4 under construction--was very noisy into the night--finally we called the desk & the construction quieted down--very dusty--we looked at the remodeled room which looked much better than the room we were in--parking was valet with a charge daily & the staff expected tips to get your car-Breakfast was good-it came with the room--but only 2--the desk staff did 'slip' us 1 more ticket for breakfast without charge (the best thing about the stay).

6. Husband and friends played in a volleyball game and won free drinks and we found the valet to be fast (they charge $15 daily plus you also are charged a $10 daily resort fee - which is common for hotels in the area).

8. UPDATE:HOWEVER: My roomate's Ipod was stolen from her suitcase and her boyfriend's credit card was stolen and someone attempted to charge some big ticket items' to the card.

10. Despite all of this, we had a good time, diving, bike riding, walking around, enjoying the beach, etc. I probably would have given this review a 3 star, but when I went to check out I found out they charge a '$12 resort charge per night', Are you F'n kidding me.
