9. My husband and I stayed in two different rooms at the Place d'Armes so we could experience a balcony on the street during the week, then to get away to a quiet courtyard room,Booking was a breeze through their website, and we found a good rate as it was right *after* JazzFest, and we pre-paid.

10. However, I can't get past the fact this has to be the best location - handy for taking home shopping, running back for a jacket etc.We had a 'windowless room' at a very good rate, which turned out to have a small window onto the lift area, and was perfectly safe and comfortable.
