4. The hotel is close to the Canal so despite the heat we had a lovely walk back up along the canal from White River Park & Imax Theater.

However, in the end, it was our lucky day that we got this hotel a good distance from downtown as there were shootings that occurred in the city centre the night we were there and we would have been right in the crossfire so the fact that we were a good long walk away from the chaos was awesome.

6. Although we generally stay downtown due to the convenience of being able to walk everywhere we go, we aren't fans of the noise downtown on the weekends so we decided to try something new.

8. My husband and I are in good shape and the 2 mile walk was good exercise (although I wasn`t wearing the best of shoes!) The hotel had two nice restuarants (one was a bar/grill type place and the other was a little nicer).
