8. The location was ideal and there is an excellent deli open 24 x 7 at the corner of the street food was delicious and quite cheap and the Empire State Building really is only a couple of blocks away.

9. The common areas are lovely - very elegant and spacious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly The location is fantastic - wonderful shops and restaurants all around, beautiful residential streets and the historic canal just steps away.

However, this was quickly negated by the fact that our tiny room was in the windowless basement (which is creepily decorated like a stage set of a Georgetown street)The room itself was clean, and decently furnished (although nothing at all like the nice photos that the Latham posts on their website).
