The historic charm was nice and the location is good (except for
parking
).

Parking
is always a challenge in DC but we have generally found
parking
near the embassies if we arrive around 6pm.

Other than this
parking
mystery, I loved my stay and will be returning to party on NYE with the Churchill, and this will be my hotel of choice from now on, i will just park on the curb myself next time and tip the valet 25 bucks to watch it for me HA.

I visit DC as a tourist on occasional weekends, so there`s nothing more convenient than free
parking
and a short walk down Connecticut Ave to the hotel.

Two negatives are the daily fee ($32) to
park
the car - which I understand in normal for the D.

Also, it would be nice if their website stated their rigid
parking
fees since an overnight charge of $39 or a daily charge of $26 might be a bit pricey and a shock to someone upon check-in.

To top it all off, we were in the ER all night (returned to hotel at 9am) therefore our car was not in their lot at all, so when we tried checking out at noon, they gave us a hard time trying to make us pay for their $39 overnight
parking
charge.

So if you're looking for a place that is friendly, has quite a bit of history, has it's own character, clean, and in a location that can't be beat, where you don't need a car to worry about
parking
.
