1. The Hankook tower just the next building to the hotel, with fantastic view.

4. Rooms with better views were a bit smaller, and the slightly larger rooms had scenic views of the dumpsters below (good for a few laughs, anyway).

5. The Rafaello is on a quiet, lovely street just between Lake Shore Drive (lakefront) and The Hancock Tower and water tower, close to great skyline views, shopping, many restaurants, pubs and shopping, Oak Street beach and Navy Pier.

6. If you're unfortunate enough to get a room that ends in 12 (xx12), you're in for a treat: a nice view of the alley where a man will take out garbage every hour (it's loud), excellent acoustics to hear the ice machine, and the smallest room in the hotel.

8. If you have time go up to the coctail lounge in the Hancock tower, it's free to go up and the view is great (drinks are good too).
