1. We were on holiday and not wearing business suits which may have been the reason, or she was simply having a bad day (having been in the hospitality management years myself, this should not have made a difference!).

I was seriously thinking about staying at the nearby Marriott--SpringHill Suites property but decided to take the risk with the Hilton Salt Lake CIty Airport hotel because it offered both an indoor and outdoor pool, fitness center, complimentary airport shuttle and the breakfast buffet was included the rate).

6. Standard rooms are a bit different from where I was at (the suite was 2 levels, both with 37' flat panel televisions), but the beds were the standard Hilton - clean, white duvet and a nice mattress.
