2. The budget rooms may be small, but they are so cleverly designed that they never feel cramped, and the renovation of the hotel has retained the wonderful character of the original architecture---including the wonderful deep plunge tubs available in the shared bathrooms.

3. The bathroom is tiny as well, which would have been ok if it included a functional sink area to accomplish basic things like brushing one's teeth or shaving.

6. We had a Queen Delux, so we had a bathroom inside of our room, but we had to walk by a number of shared hallway bathrooms and they all seemed very clean.

7. We stayed 3 nights our first time in San Fran in a room with a bath and toilet, the reason I mention this is you can have rooms without these facilities at about $100 Aust per night, you then use the shared bathroom and toilet facilities.

9. I'd personally go for that again even if I did have to pay $200 a week for the privilege, but for the record the shared bathrooms were in good shape - so if you're budgeting, I'd recommend you save yourself the additional money.

10. Walking distance to the Subway (Very easy to get to from SFO), busses, trolly & shopping The room is small, me and my husband stayed there for 5 nights in a shared bathroom, after all of my shopping the room did become a little crammed but I don't pick rooms to spend my days in while i am on vacation.
