3. Seriously if you don't want to be annoyed go across the street to the Tropicanna where there are no peddlers.

The monorail picks up at MGM which is across the street - we liked taking the bus because it picks up right in front at corner, or a taxi if we wanted to get somewhere quick - if you take monorail, you have to walk from Luxor, through Excalibur, across to New York and then across the street and across the entire MGM to get the monorail station.

5. It's nice to wander between Mandalay, Luxor and Excalibur and never have to worry about roaming the streets late into the night, very safe environment and many good places to eat within these 3 structures.

7. Also, although Luxor being nearer the end of the strip we used the Deuce bus a lot so did not miss out on anything, including Fremont Street, which is brilliant, not only for the light shows but great party atmosphere in the evening.

9. hotels wise take the boat ride in venitian and dont' miss the ship battle when it gets dark but the best has to be the light show on the original streets downtown.
