1. The kids loved going from restaurant to restaurant collecting the colorful wristbands they hand out.

4. The only dinner I thought was worth the money was Kirin, the chinese restaurant, where the food was very good and slightly more resonably priced (like a decent San Francisco restaurant pricing).

6. the rooms were a great size, they had a electric sign that said where and how long it would take the tram or boat to your very spot, they had a lagoon with various water toys, sooooo cool, they had shops, 2 pools, water slides, a beach, bars, restaurants, and it was so awesome.

7. There are miles of walking/jogging paths and the property is super close and convenient to a nice grocery store, restaurants and shopping.

9. There are only a few options for restaurants in Waikoloa Village - with the exception of Roy's, they're all of the Macaroni Grill / Arby's / Dairy Queen / Jamba Juice variety.

10. If neither of those are your cup of tea, then I'd find something down near Kona, which is where all of the tours you'd want to do leave from and where you have a selection of decent restaurants and activities to keep you busy.
