1. In fact, I noticed a few other solo diners, so if you're alone in DC and want a nice unhurried meal, I highly recommend ICI.

2. Agree with most others; great service (I might say over the top), good food in ICI, had berry crepes for breakfast twice, bacon was a bit greasy the one time I ordered 'American', dinner was nice.

3. I arrived at the hotel from the airport (nice short cab ride from Reagan) before 10am, and even though it was five hours before check-in I was able to have my room early, which was a terrific way to start my stay at the Sofitel.

6. It was a nice stay as we had great cool weather, did a ton of walking and sightseeing, so weren't at the hotel much.

9. What did it for me was the attentive service and the convenient bar with great drinks and appy's downstairs and a nice outdoor area.

10. nice hotels often go for $350 a night on the low end so when I saw rooms for $250 at the Sofitel, I grabbed it.
