1. I have stayed in multiple Westins and had very positive experiences, however these rooms and facilities are not up to typical Westin standards.

3. I wonder if any of the elevators will be running tomorrow morning? On the positive side, the room was very nice - except the pocket door in the bathroon doesn't close all the way so privacy is limited.

5. Here is my review in a supposed nutshell: positives: I was on the 12th floor, which had a wonderful view of the skyline (especially at night), and the room's windows (which do crack open for fresh air) were large and attractively dressed, with drapes and scroll-down shades.

9. Due to the great position of the hotel, we ate out in the Gaslamp Quarter each night (there's a great selection of places to eat within walking distance).
