2. The reasons I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is because it is an older hotel, the bathroom was small, the only sink was in the bathroom, and there is no room service or restaurant in the hotel.

3. The only reason I tolerated it at all was because it didn't look like the parking garage could hold enough cars for every guest to park there - if parking had been free, I probably wouldn't have gotten a space.

6. The hotel is older and reasonably priced, but the rooms are OK and the staff is very nice, if not forthcoming.

7. I find the $16 a day parking fee to be reasonable for the area, but it's extremely tight and a pain to get your car in or out.

8. If free, the shuttle driver will pretty much take you anywhere within reasonable distance, just don't forget to tip (still less than a cab).

I stayed with my 40 colleagues with Holiday Inn Express San Diego Downtown for about 10 nights and we were extremely satisfied and would like to recommend this hotel to all type of travelers due to the following positive reasons :* Nice location , taxis available easily*comfy beds in nice big rooms*fast free internet*Nice warm Breakfast every day*free safety deposit boxes at front desk*affordable laundry*polite and friendly staff which went out of the way to help the guests*free beer and drinks every evening*nice restaurant *a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby*house keeping is efficent.
