1. The hotel is a good location from the zoo (about a $15 cab ride), Coronado Island ($25 cab ride to Hotel del Coronado), 10 minute walk to Little Italy, the Harbor (further to the USS Midway), Gaslamp and a trolley stop and about a 20 minute walk to Petco Field.

3. + opposite the el cortez hotel which being a very tall building, is a great landmark to refer to when returning home+ decent free breakfast+ quiet and got a good night sleep- it's much older than other holiday inns i have been to.

7. If you got a little extra money I would suggest staying at a newer place but if you're on a budget, traveling with a friend or two and want to experience the downtown scene then this place is good for you.
