1. ' Maybe, but for $165 a night, maybe a guilt-free elevator isn't such a luxury? In addition to the street noise, which is intense, the door to the bathroom is a hung sliding door, which offers no noise privacy, and the sink is in the middle of the room.

2. just rightrooms are cold and have a draft in the winter heater couldn't battle the draftlobby is always crowded with the coffee shop crowd using the couches and free wifiHonestly the staff is the biggest problem for this hotel.

What I liked about the hotel:good location, good coffee downstairs (you have to pay for it), photo booth, bed was comfortable, suites are big and roomy, free wifiWhat I didn't like:Staff has bad customer service and bad attitudesstandard room is overpriced and very small (suite is overpriced too)bathtub/shower had weak water pressure, hard to get temp.

5. The location of The Ace is fantastic - we could see Powell's bookstore from our window (only 1 street over) and the amazing free transportation that Portland offers is right down the street.
