2. The location of The Ace is fantastic - we could see Powell's bookstore from our window (only 1 street over) and the amazing free transportation that Portland offers is right down the street.

4. Right next to the hotel, there is a fantastic restaurant (Clyde Common), a great coffee shop (Stumptown) and amazing brunch spot for bagels & smoked salmon (Kenny & Zuke's).

5. The hotel has both a restaurant and coffee shop attached, seating areas in the lobby including a mezzanine with laptops for guest use (free) and is opposite the fantastic Powell bookshop.

8. The attached restaurant, Clyde Commons, serves up fantastic food, but it is a spot du jour so very busy and can be hard to get a table on the spur of the moment.

9. Whoever worked the desk when we checked in on Thursday afternoon was so kind and helpful, he also made a fantastic reccomendation on Saturday morning when he directed us to Pedal Bicycle Tours and Rentals, they were affordable and very kind.
