4. We also didn't use the restaurant as there is so much fantastic choice nearby and we avoid hotel food wherever possible but the bar was welcoming and reasonably priced on the one occasion we used it and it always looked inviting.

5. We were lucky to get a fantastic deal compared with other comparable hotels and expected to be in a broom cupboard as a result but we were delighted with our good sized room and bathroom which were spotless and well maintained throughout.
