1. Gorgeous lobby; luxurious room- with all the amenities; wonderful lounge with fantastic jazz; short walk to Bourbon Street and convenient to just about everything the city offers; attentive and perfectly trained staff .

3. conveniently, there is a pharmacy (CVS I believe) directly across Canal Street from the hotel if you have forgotten something on your trip and (much to my wife's delight) a large Saks Fifth Avenue just six blocks down.

8. There are taxis waiting outside the hotels from doors all day/night long so if you need to go somewhere you know it wont be a problem getting a ride which was also convenient.
