1. Give yourself plenty of time to get it out of the garage whenever you need it, especially near checkout and checkin times.

The rooms were larger than what we expected from a classic New Orleans hotel, the beds were comfortable, the shower was strong with plenty of hot water, the complimentary continental breakfast buffet was good, the staff was excellent --knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, the pool was nice and clean.

Pros: charming building, great location, COLD AC in the room, nice hot showers, in-room safe, in-room coffee maker, TV is adequate (who goes to New Orleans to watch TV in a hotel??), beds very comfortable, decor was nice enough, staff brought plenty of fresh towels and left them outside the door (we kept do not disturb sign up the entire time we were there), staff was friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for food, calling a cab, etc.
