The location is excellent if you want to be able to walk to any part of the French Quarter and even parts a little further out, I have stayed at the fancy name places in New Orleans before and I didn't use the amenities and had to use a cab or walk further to see what I wanted, the Vieux Carre, and the price was double what you can get in the Quarter.
