Staff were very friendly and made everything extremely easy (
except
for one of the staff on the lobby bar was a bit rude in my opinion, but hey its his tip to lose).

exceptional
staff,
exceptional
service, beautiful rooms (though the bathroom was very small and two business people sharing a room were left with one on the occasional table while the other used the small desk).

I only had one issue where I had asked for a transfer and it hadn't arrived but the manager emailed me to apologise and I found that kind of service
exceptional
especially coming from Sydney where we have no clue on how to treat visitors.

I really just loved this hotel--truly an
exceptional
example of outstanding service coupled with a classy older facility that has been well maintained and furnished.

The rooms are reasonably quiet
except
we ended up sharing a wall with the service elevator so we had to deal with that all night.

There must be an
exceptional
staff training program because the mixture of professionalism and caring the hotel employees show is impressive.

Sounds good doesn't it?
except
that by 'concierge' they actually meant some guy sitting at a desk on his mobile phone all day who just sent you to reception if you had a query.
"nice ducks, shame about the service! "
