1. Tip: the walk to the station is down a steep hill (OK for the morning), but when you return to the Omni, take the cool 'Angel Flight' incline train to avoid the steep walk up.

2. Or, if you enjoy the cool air, the room had a pull-out window if you want to enjoy it.

3. LA was warm in the day then cooled rapidly at night and the rooms air system worked well going from 'cool' to 'warm' in an instant.

4. Dream shower, and a mini bar key if you want it - we just used it to cool our own champagne.
"The Omni Experience - not a fault to find " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/2/2012 Vote
5. For those that care, there is a large flat screen TV, very expensive movies ($16 I think), a cool mini-bar, a radio you can plug your IPod or IPhone into to listen to your own music and a huge closet.

6. Again, the only downside is it's physical location, as it is not super close to most sites in LA, but it is like a two minute walk to the LA Disney Concert Hall (which is an amazing building), and some cool restaurants/bars in the (not too far) neighbourhood.
"great hotel. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   6/13/2011 Vote
7. I don't know that I would recommend staying in downtown LA as it's like a half hour drive to most anywhere you'd want to be in LA, but downtown LA does seem to be undergoing a bit of a resurgence and there are some cool places and good restaurants in the vicinity, if you want to explore it.

8. BTW, the Noe Bar screen was definitely a 'cool' scene -check it out.

9. Then go sit there and watch the fountains and enjoy the cool air (we're from Phoenix).
