1. At the corner of Mass Ave and Commonwealth in the middle of Back Bay, it is a terrific location, genteel, quiet (except for traffic), and luxurious enough.

7. All in, I loved the welcoming peace and quiet of the Eliot - it felt special to a tired traveller, and much more intimate that the impersonal modern big hotel.

8. The buildings blends well into the period architecture and I was delighted on stepping in and finding that the quiet understated air of elegance continued inside the small but cozy lobby, with polished brass rails and dark wood furniture.

9. Lovely hotel, did not have breakfast here - went out for that, but the rooms were great - we asked for a quiet one high above the street - had a really good room on the 5th floor.
