4. For many years, The Charles Street Inn was a favorite but it declined AND is expensive, so the Eliot is our new Boston home away from home.

7. The staff lent me a (brand new and HUGE) umbrella to walk to a nearby restaurant when a surprise rainstorm swept through the city.

8. It's an old hotel which is located steps away from the T and newbury Street (a must see for shopping and dining if you're new to Boston) so you don't even need to bring your car.

9. I had a new bathroom with a great shower, the usual two flat-screen tv's and cool technology on the TVs for activities, etc.
