The restaurant, on the other hand, was a

The shower enclosure was built with glass but they never installed a shower door so the glass juts out of the wall enclosing about 70% of the shower but then there's this
big
opening between the shower and the rest of the bathroom.

A friend and I were invited to a
big
party in Boston and felt it prudent not to drive home even though it is only 30 miles so we decided to stay in Boston and we chose the Eliot.

I'd still pick it over a
big
chain but might explore other boutique offerings (or 9 zero or the W) when I return to Boston.

We particularly enjoyed the sitting rooms, which allowed us to watch a '
big
' football game, read the paper, drink coffee and share good company when we were not seeing the sights.

All in, I loved the welcoming peace and quiet of the Eliot - it felt special to a tired traveller, and much more intimate that the impersonal modern

Curtained French doors separated our bedroom from our children's room which was very spacious, had a queensize sofa bed, 2
big
armchairs, a coffee table, an armoire housing a tv, and a desk with a touch-screen computer.

This is a small hotel, but there are two adjoining restaurants and a nice bar, so you have most of the amenities of the
big
chain hotels.
