3. If you don't have a car and are not happy using public transport then this hotel may not suit you if you are looking to do the touristy bits at Fisherman's Wharf, as it is about a 40 minute walk (at a relatively brisk pace given the hills - well it is San Francisco.

4. Stayed here 3 nights, we were overall happy with it, the free parking was the selling point for us as parking fees in SF can be ridiculous, the continental breakfast was also very good.

5. They did say it's not for everyone, and I'd agree with that, but all in all we were pretty happy with this colorful and quirky place.
