1. For such a nice hotel, the room service menu was quite reasonable and as with most US hotels portion sizes were quite large.

4. I love old hotels, and even though I've walked up and down Market Street numerous times in my life, I never noticed this gem until my in-laws, who honeymooned there, couldn't get a reservation at a reasonable price to celebrate their 63rd anniversary.

9. In my opinion, the Palace is a much better choice overall than either Westin in the area or the W and the price point is far more reasonable than the St Regis.
