1. Minor point but a big one for me- there were lots of hangars in the closet.

3. Both the Ritz and the Fairmont are at the top of a big hill so there is no escaping this if you want to stay at the better hotels.

It was everything I'd anticipated: great location (smack dab in between Union Square & Chinatown - a 5-minute walk to either; but beware, the Ritz is on a big hill, if you have issues with some climbing); well-appointed rooms (king bed, sumptuous duvet & linens, marble in the bathroom); exceptional service.

10. If we had to mention bad points, it was a little on the impersonal side compared to other places we stayed at on our honeymoon but I guess that is to be expected in a big city.
