2. No, the hotel isn't the InterContinental but the staff performs and treats you as if it is - better actually since there is nothing pretentious about them.

3. Two blocks away from Grand station makes it easily accessible by public transit and with the traffic in Chicago usually congested you are better off avoiding the cabs from the airport (35 - 40 $ one way to Midway ).

6. For full disclosure, I was able to book this hotel with points and it was for my bachelorette party - so it was free and for a very fun weekend, which probably made my stay better than my normal work travel.
