1. - They do not offer free Wi-Fi, which almost every hotel has (I have stayed in cheaper places and they are more than happy to give you a Wi-Fi password for free).

6. We went to see Sister Act but booked it from Tourist Info on Times Square and found this to be cheaper than prices quoted at the hotel, however staff were very helpful and certainly not pushy when we enquired about ticket costs.

7. A friend suggested staying in Long Island City, which would have been quite a bit cheaper, but then we wouldn't have been able to walk to see things which for me was part of the whole experience.

8. Rates were cheaper than any other downtown hotel, and their onsite valet parking for $10 was a huge plus (we needed a car for later in the trip), especially since there are no easy luggage storage options in NYC.
