At no point did any one in the hotel (front desk, events, management) acknowledge that we had chosen to spent and extraordinarily special period of our lives (and, for us, an extraordinary amount of money) at the Hotel on Rivington and a tasteful touch like a congratulatory note or fruit plate would have been a small touch that went a long way.

4. Having stayed at the Standard Hotel on the other side of Manhattan for three nights in the glamorous Meatpacking District (see my review), we chose to jump over to the heart of gritty-grotty Lower East Side for a taste of 'authentic' downtown.

10. The furniture in the room was tasteful and minimal and the shower had these windows that floor to ceiling showed a bridge (I think The Manhattan Bridge -- I didn`t ask, sorry).
