1. It was big, with a separate sitting room and amazing views all the way up to the Empire State.

2. The room was big (got an upgrade), the bathroom was huge and the amenities the best I have seen.
"Great hotel - fantastic view! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   12/15/2011 Vote
3. One of my downfalls - when we got to our room on the 12th floor which was very spacious, big tempur bed was heavenly, large bathroom with a fabulous shower, a little lounge area and a decent sized closet - it had a DOWTOWN VIEW.
"Wonderful Hotel Save for a Few Grumbles... " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/27/2011 Vote
4. Still good, but need some big investment and to recapture some of the original attention to detail.
"Sadly not as good as it used to be! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/24/2011 Vote
5. I think this is a big mistake by the hotel, especially when the rooms are now so tired.

6. My pet peaves were all addressed here: plenty of big white towels in the bathroom (not the standard kimpton 2), complimentary wifi (for any hotel more expensive than $100/night, it should always be free), friendly front desk staff.
"unique NYC hotel; met all my standards " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/27/2011 Vote
7. There was some big trendy event with 20 somethings in a huge line to get in the front entrance, but the guy at the door let me go straight in to check in.

8. The room was an OK size, but there were only a few tiny halogens in the ceiling and the bathroom lighting was very low as well - making it non-functional as a place to shave or get ready for a big day.
"dark, dreary and already beat down " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/24/2011 Vote
9. As for the room, very clean, very big, massive closet, big bed (mattress too firm for me, but that is just my preference), free wi-fi (I hate paying for wi-fi) then i walked in to my 'oversize corner bathroom with soaking tub' OMG AMAZING - so half frosted glass and half clear glass with slate floors open shower - i just loved the space (they even provide candles in the bathroom).
"PERFECT for me " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/12/2011 Vote
